Fabrication & Processing

Foamed PVC is one of the easiest materials to fabricate. It can be saw cut, CNC routed, drilled, screwed, nailed, stapled, and glued. The smooth surface accepts screen printing, digital printing, vinyl wraps, and paint.

CNC routing — clean cuts, ideal for signage lettering
Saw cutting — use fine-tooth blades for clean edges
Bonding — PVC solvent cement, contact adhesive, or silicone
Printing — accepts UV-cured, solvent, and latex inks
Bending — can be heat bent at moderate temperatures

Frequently Asked Questions

Is foamed PVC waterproof?+
Yes — foamed PVC has a closed-cell structure that does not absorb water. It is completely waterproof and will not rot, swell, or delaminate in wet conditions. This makes it ideal for bathroom cladding, wet area linings, and outdoor signage.
Can foamed PVC be used outdoors?+
Yes — foamed PVC has excellent UV resistance and weather ability. White foamed PVC maintains its colour and structural integrity for many years of outdoor exposure. It is widely used for external signage, building cladding, and marine applications.
What is the difference between foamed PVC and solid PVC?+
Foamed PVC is approximately half the weight of solid PVC and easier to cut and handle. Solid PVC is denser, stronger, and more chemically resistant — it is used for industrial applications like chemical tank linings. Foamed PVC is preferred for signage, displays, and lightweight construction.
