Fluted polyprop is the most common polypropylene and the "CORFLUTE Brand" is the best known brand. Fluted polyprop resembles corrugated cardboard in that it consists of outside walls separated by ribs, and is sometimes called "fluted poly" or "extruded twinwall plastic".

Polypropylene is lightweight, chemical resistant, and extremely versatile. The fluted (twinwall) structure provides excellent rigidity-to-weight ratio, making it the material of choice for temporary signage, real estate boards, and packaging where low cost and weather resistance are essential.

Fabrication & Processing

Polypropylene can be die cut, CNC routed, and digitally printed. It folds easily along the flute direction and can be stapled, riveted, or cable-tied for assembly. For printing, use corona-treated or printable-grade sheets for best ink adhesion.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do polypropylene signs last outdoors?+
Standard polypropylene signage lasts 12–24 months outdoors depending on UV exposure and climate. For longer life, use UV-stabilised grades or apply UV-protective laminates over printed graphics.
Can polypropylene be recycled?+
Yes — polypropylene is recyclable (resin code #5) and is one of the most widely recycled plastics. Fluted polypropylene can be collected and reprocessed into new products.
