What Materials Do You Use For Racecar Windows And Screens?+

Polycarbonate (Lexan) is the standard for race windscreens, side windows and rear screens because it is virtually unbreakable and significantly lighter than glass. We typically use 3mm, 4.5mm or 6mm sheet depending on the panel size and category rules. For headlight covers and clear displays where optical clarity matters most, we use cast acrylic.

Can You Make Parts To My Exact Size Or Template?+

Yes, every racecar part is custom made. Send us a template, factory window sample, CAD file or hand-drawn pattern and we will cut, form and finish to match. We can also reverse-engineer broken or worn parts if you bring them into our Gold Coast workshop. There is no minimum order, so single replacement parts are welcome.

How Fast Can You Turn Around Race-Week Jobs?+

We understand motorsport deadlines. Standard custom windows and panels are usually ready in 3 to 7 working days, and we regularly fast-track urgent race-week jobs in 24 to 48 hours when our schedule allows. Call us early in the week with your spec and we will do everything we can to get you on the grid.

Do You Supply Class-Legal Thicknesses For CAMS And Motorsport Australia?+

We supply polycarbonate in the thicknesses commonly required by Motorsport Australia and category-specific regulations (typically 3mm, 4.5mm and 6mm). It remains the team's responsibility to confirm the panel thickness, material and certification required for your category, we will cut to spec.
