CLEAR PETG Sheet is manufactured by the extrusion process. The material exhibits excellent clarity, high impact resistance, good transparency and excellent thermoform ability. Typical sheet applications include Screen printing, Signage, POS Displays & Industrial guards.

PETG combines the clarity of acrylic with the impact resistance of polycarbonate, making it an excellent general-purpose clear sheet material. Unlike acrylic, PETG does not crack or shatter on impact, and unlike polycarbonate, it does not require pre-drying before thermoforming.

Fabrication & Processing

PETG is extremely easy to thermoform — it requires no pre-drying and has a wide forming window. It can be die cut, CNC routed, and screen printed with excellent results. PETG can be solvent bonded or adhesive bonded.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can PETG be used outdoors?+
No — PETG has poor UV resistance and will yellow and become brittle with prolonged sun exposure. For outdoor clear sheet applications, use acrylic or UV-stabilised polycarbonate instead.
Is PETG food safe?+
Yes — PETG is inherently food-safe and is the same base material used in drink bottles (PET). It is widely used for food packaging, medical device packaging, and point-of-sale food displays.
What is the advantage of PETG over acrylic?+
PETG has significantly better impact resistance than acrylic — it bends rather than shatters. It is also much easier to thermoform (no pre-drying needed) and has excellent printability. However, acrylic has better scratch resistance, UV stability, and optical clarity.
