Corflute is Australia's most popular fluted polypropylene sheet — a lightweight, waterproof twinwall plastic used for signage, packaging and surface protection. Holland Plastics stocks Corflute (also spelt Coreflute) in 3mm and 5mm on the Gold Coast, cut to size and supplied in full sheets to customers across South East Queensland and nationwide.

Often called "corrugated plastic" or "twinwall polypropylene", Corflute combines two flat outer skins with a vertical fluted core. The result is a rigid yet lightweight board that won't rot, rust or absorb water — making it the go-to choice for real estate signs, election signs, construction hoarding, floor protection during fit-outs, and returnable packaging.

Cutting, Printing & Fabrication

Corflute is one of the easiest plastics to fabricate. It can be hand cut with a sharp utility knife, die cut for high-volume runs, or CNC routed for precise shapes and logos. The flutes run along the length of the sheet — fold along the flute direction for clean creases when making boxes or packaging inserts. Sheets can be joined with double-sided tape, hot melt glue, plastic rivets, cable ties or staples.

For printing, corona-treated or printable-grade Corflute gives the best ink adhesion. We recommend UV digital print for full-colour graphics, screen print for spot colours and long runs, and vinyl application for one-off custom signs.

Corflute FAQs

What is Corflute made of?+
Corflute is made from polypropylene (PP) — a lightweight, recyclable thermoplastic. It's manufactured as a twinwall sheet with two flat outer faces sandwiching a vertical fluted core, which is what gives it its strength-to-weight ratio.
Is Corflute the same as Coreflute?+
Yes. Corflute, Coreflute, Corriboard, Twinwall and Corrugated Plastic all refer to the same fluted polypropylene sheet product. "Corflute" is the most recognised Australian brand name and is often used generically.
How long does Corflute signage last outdoors?+
Standard Corflute lasts 12–24 months outdoors in Australian conditions. UV-stabilised grades with printed graphics and UV-protective laminate can last 3+ years. For permanent outdoor signage, consider Foamed PVC or ACM.
Can Corflute be printed on?+
Yes — Corflute accepts screen printing, UV digital printing, solvent-based digital printing and adhesive vinyl. For best ink adhesion use corona-treated or printable-grade sheets.
What thickness Corflute should I use?+
3mm Corflute is standard for real estate, election and promotional signs up to A1 size. 5mm Corflute is recommended for larger signs (over 1200mm), floor protection during renovations, and applications where extra rigidity is needed.
Can you cut Corflute to size?+
Yes. Holland Plastics offers Corflute cut to size on the Gold Coast. We can supply full 2440 x 1220mm sheets, or cut sheets to your exact dimensions for signs, packaging or protection panels.
Is Corflute waterproof and recyclable?+
Corflute is 100% waterproof — it won't absorb water, rot or delaminate. It's made from polypropylene (resin code #5) and is fully recyclable through soft plastics and rigid plastics recycling streams.
