Plastic Component FAQs

What File Formats Do You Accept?+

We accept DXF and DWG for 2D cutting, STEP and IGES for 3D engineering models, and AI, EPS or PDF for sign and display work. Hand-drawn sketches with dimensions and physical samples are also welcome, our design team can convert them into a production-ready file.

Do You Make One-Off Parts Or Only Production Runs?+

Both. There is no minimum order, single prototypes through to ongoing production are all welcome. The same machines and operators handle both, so quality is consistent regardless of run size.

What Tolerances Can You Hold?+

Tolerances depend on the process. CNC laser cutting holds approximately ±0.1mm on acrylic. CNC routing holds ±0.2mm on sheet. CNC lathe machining holds ±0.05mm on engineering plastics. Tell us the critical dimensions on your drawing and we will confirm what is achievable.

Can You Recommend A Material For My Application?+

Yes. Send us the operating conditions (load, temperature, chemical exposure, food contact, outdoor use) and we will recommend the right material. With over 35 years across mining, marine, transport and retail, we have specified almost every common engineering plastic at one time or another.
